Go to the 5:53 mark on the video.

Yes, the brass nipple is replaceable.

I would suggest just using a grinder to shorten the nipple versus trying to cut it. Make your 45 angle after you shorten it.

To make installing the diverter a little easier you could remove the brass nipple, install the diverter, and then reinstall the nipple after you have the diverter seated.

Yes. And the brass barb is replaceable. Good luck finding any other barb that will clear. The 90* barbs won't and a straight barb puts it at a bad angle and won't allow the hose to clear. I looked for shallower 45* barbs but couldn't find one.

When Elite Engineering chimed in, I had already installed my can. Had I to do it over again, I would probably just run an NPT tap deeper into the diverter valve to do what EE was suggesting they were going to start doing. Because the pipe thread is a taper you could conceivably tap deeper into the material which would allow the 45* fitting to thread deeper into the diverter valve. However, the cut and file method works great with no issues and you don't lose and barbs.

I have taps at home. I might try your suggestion and slap some threads on there to get the barb to sit deeper.

E-mail was sent 12-28-18 requesting the new mounting bracket to mount at the radiator area for my 2018 ZL1 vert. Have not had any response from the e-mail.

I’m not rushing you guys. I figured the holidays had something to do with the slow shipping that’s why I hadn’t called you guys or emailed you looking for answers.

I just never had an experience where a shipping label was created but nothing was ever shipped for over a week.

I received my catch can yesterday and it came with the bent L bracket as requested. It will be a little bit before I install it. I am going to install it at the same time as I install my Magnuson 2300.
