We are excited to announce the release of our supercharger-compatible cold air intake system for the 2016-2018 Camaro SS/SS 1LE. This CAI is a complete “tune required” bolt-on system for the LT4, Magnuson Heartbeat, and Whipple 2.9 Superchargers!
Modeled after the our extremely popular 2017-18 ZL1 air intake system, this unit features a TIG welded aluminum air box, custom designed for the supercharged Camaro SS and SS 1LE. Our rotationally molded inlet elbow and MAF housing provide great cross-section and proper alignment to the throttle body. The huge filter included in this system was designed to accommodate high-horsepower builds – our customers have shown gains as high as 40 RWHP over the stock intake with our CAI and a custom tune! The new Roto-fab CAI is the best choice for anyone doing a high-horsepower 6th gen Camaro build! Great to see companies innovate but is there any differences from the zl1 kit? I ask because thats what I am using on my Maggie and its worked well for us.

This kit has a solid elbow and at high rpm and lots of boost the rubber elbow can start to collapse, the solid one won't do that. Not sure what the zl1 has.

ZL1 is just like this one. Same one I run. Solid the whole way through.

Say I slap this on a stock car with just a Whipple and canned tune from Whipple. Would I need to re-tune or would the canned tune from Whipple be sufficient?

40 rwhp from an intake on a supercharged Camaro? Sounds like malarkey.

Compres to stock airbox? I can see it easily. The intake tract/tb is the single most important part for our blowers next to IAT management.

Great question, this system will absolutely need a custom tune for your vehicle. Thanks for your interest!

If you already have a Rotofab for a NA application, is there a part you can buy to make it work with a PD blower? I'm guessing you just need a different elbow off the TB?
