We were driving the other day, and she had her foot up underneath the foot well towards the center of the car, barefoot. All of a sudden she said "OWW" and she had been burned by something!
I looked and there is a silver colored pipe which I can only assume is going to the heater core. The carpeting material does not cover that area and you can easily get a foot or a finger in there. This is extremely dangerous! Has this happened to anyone else? And does anyone have a suggestion for how to block this area off? I would have thought it would be wrapped in heat resistant material if it was so close to the foot well.... |

That's pretty crazy, I'm going to look at the footwell in my car and see if mine is exposed like that.

They were bare in the car though, so that's exactly where they were headed...
