Inserting baffles to quiet down aftermarket exhaust

I am interested in adding baffles yo my current system and at the same time adding cutouts so I can still get crazy loud.

Any recommendations for baffles or other ideas to quiet down exhaust?

Go buy a used stock single exhaust and put the cutout on it - you could probably find an axle back suitcase muffle pretty cheap. That will be the quietest you can get then be nice and loud with the cutout open.

Stock is a non-option. Dont like the look or the sound. Perhaps with different tips it could be an option...but truthfully everything about the stock exhaust bothers me.

I am just exploring options right now. Compared to the stock setup I love the stainlessworks look and sound. However, in a few weeks the cam, lt headers, race pipes/no cats... just thinking that may cross the line to loudness.

You can get a couple 3in resonators welded in to take the edge off a good bit.

I have the ARH LT full system catback / no cats and had a couple resonators put in to tone down the volume and the drone I was getting. It was the perfect addition.

Don't shoot the messenger. You are the one who asked a super confusing question. I was just giving you a cheap way to do it. If you already spent the money on aftermarket and don't like it, your options are pretty limited.

Geoff, not shooting the messenger at all. Sorry if it came across that way. I appreciate the feedback. It’s a non-option because of the appearance of stock exhaust. The aftermarket exhaust looks and sounds 10x better; however, my other mods have come along much quicker than I anticipated.

Now, I am just thinking ahead and trying to determine if the QTP system would be better, or adding resonators and a cutout. It’s very similar result, 1 uses my stainlessworks exhaust + QTP cutout and the other uses the QTP system which has the NPP functionality built in...

Thanks for the recommendation though.

Did you happen to get sound clips before and after? That’s exactly what I was thinking too. But with the resonators, do they go I. Right before the mufflers? Trying to figure out if the cutout would still be an option with resonators installed.

I think Borla anticipated a few folks going too far and offer these to "attenuate" your exhaust note- https://www.borla.com/products/camar...rt__60608.html

I have the stainlessworks axleback system. I really like it before we get into the engine, add headers and remove cats.
