The front Powerstop pad Z26-1835 is the correct front pad for the ZL1 - their website will say CTS-V 2016 which has the same brake setup as our ZL1s. Rear is 1053.

I have them both on my car. Bought mine from Jegs who had them in stock at the time and had as good a price as the others, and best of all whose website is correct.

Gunkk is correct and I've been using these for a while now. Shop around for pricing and there are deals out there.

But now I’m not so sure. Pretty likely that I’ll go back to OEM once I chew these up.
100% agree. While the benefits of reduced dusting are huge, the tradeoff of bite is there too. It's noticeable period! It has caused me to leave more room between me and the next car and to be more cautious of distance. Sure the Power Stops "work", just not as good VS OEM for obvious reasons of course...

I also coated my rims with Pinnacle Black Series ceramic glass coating (had left over from my 2016 Z06 that I used the same because it work perfectly) and also coated the calipers all by hand. Because I spend the time to take off my wheels when brand new, completely clean each one and add the coating to wheels and caliper, they clean off very easy regardless of which pad.
I'm strongly considering switching back as this is my "play car" and not my DD.

As Cant'Have2MuchHP has stated, I also like to keep my car also constantly clean especially during bug season down here and don't mind the pleasure of washing / cleaning...

Bottom line FOR ME is that regardless of which brake pad used, since I use a wheel brush to keep each wheel & barrel clean during every wash, the cleaning effort will be the same FOR ME, thus why I will be switching back soon to OEM. It's a high performance car and brake dust is just part of ownership for me...

Good luck on whatever you do!

and heres another thing i learned from mike phillips at autogeek.....even if its ph balanced, you dont need to use wheel cleaner but a few times a year. Once you get a nano ceramic , or a good wheel wax on, you have put a barrier berween the wheel finish and the brake dust. So a good shampoo will loosen the brake dust without the strong wheel cleaner. And save your wheel finish long term, esp if you only have clear coat and not powdercoat......hydro2 is the easiest nano ceramic to spray on and wash off. Gyeon wet coat is identical and also coats well......see the link below for pics.....

I had my wheels and calipers coated with Ceramic pro along with the rest of the car.
Clean up is a snap, I use a Sunjoe pressure cleaner and it takes a couple of passes of the wand and you're done.

Lol. I got some rain X "fastwax and water repellent" spray for free from a recent deal. I used it on the wheels about a month ago. All that brake dust accumlates really quickly. I washed the wheels using my regular carwash solution (1oz meguiars in 3 gallons of water) twice in the past 3 weeks. Each time, the wheels came out super clean, minimal effort, just spray with a lightly soapy solution and then rinse. I sprayed on (the RainX), and wiped off, once. So far so good, couldn't believe it, but cheap rain X is a winner, its lasted a month, lets see how long it keeps protecting the wheel

Need to get those powerstop brakepads eventually.

You think a product like Adam’s Wheel Cleaner will damage the wheels/brakes if used just about every wash over time? They make a gentler wheel cleaner but a spray bottle of car shampoo and water will probably work most of the time.

i think all of them are pretty harsh, they have to be, to get neglected wheels clean. if you are using hydro, there should be no need for any wheel cleaner vs one of the adams shampoos ..except for an annual re-do.

Simply avoid using the brakes. That does the trick.

Just plain old water, with my gas powered pressure washer. Cleans them like new is seconds, no chemicals or scrubbing.

I recently purchased a set of aftermarket wheels. I put a ceramic coat on them before I got them mounted. They're a lot easier to clean versus the factory wheels....no pressure washer needed

I've written about this many times before on these forums. I've owned 2 carwashes in my life. I KNOW cleaner chemicals very well.

If you wash your car every week or 2, just use mild carwash soap in a sprayer bottle.
4oz of soap and the rest water in a 32oz bottle. spray and brush the wheels.
DO NOT use wheel cleaner, you will dull the wheels over TIME!!!

I owned a car wash on the side for a few years as well, never heard anything about wheel cleaner dulling wheels if used properly on clear-coated wheels. Now on raw polished wheels or other delicate finishes and if applied to hot wheels or allowed to sit for too long etc. yes it can stain and have other problems.

I will try a dilution of soap and water in a bottle my next few washes and see how it goes.
