Track Night in America - Atlanta Motorsports Pk
A couple of weeks ago, my son went to a TNIA event at AMP over in Georgia (Gen 5 SS with mods) . He was in the Advanced class along with a new Lotus Evora 400. Rode the guy's bumper for a lap or so and eventually got a point by. Guy came over after the session to see how a Camaro left a Lotus in it's tracks. Turns out the guy was a journalist.... link below is the article he wrote.

I just signed up for SCCA TNIA..within 250 miles I have 4 tracks? Atlanta Motorsports park, Roebling RD, Charlotte Motor Speeway, and Carolina Motorsports park!
also Road Atlanta, but I dont see any events scheduled there. This would be my very first time in any car and on any track..seems like a great deal...3 20 min sessions for $150 + optional insurance and wear items and travel expenses. .. AMP has a thing for $800 that is a car control clinc..I may do that first, then a couple TNIA events, THEN I'd feel better about doing a real track event. so exited..I may need a 2nd job to afford all this lol |
