My results the following week on e64 in negative DA, the track went away after my first 2 passes when the dew started coming on. The dyno pulls were done with e85 in the tank.

I'm hoping to get into the 500hp club with my setup soon. I have Texas speed headers, borla x-pipe and ATAK axlenback. Soon to come is MSD manifold with Katech throttle body, Flex Fuel sensor and tune. You guys think I can get there?

Most likely no

But it’s just a dyno number. It’s not going to change how fast your car is

Just tell everyone you have 505RWHP. They will never know.

I would rather Dyno lower and go faster...its a better look when your 450whp rig pulls a 500whp car.

+1

Facebook is littered with guys trying to chase a number. Knowing that the dyno is only a tuning tool, I didn't care what it said. It's alll about the slip.

Could probably do or get very close with the following...

-2in headers - catless
-ported MSD intake
-Katech 103mm TB
-ATI 10% underdrive pulley
-RF Dry
-E85 sensor (and tune)

might not hit 500whp but could be VERY close (assuming 6MT - not sure an A8 would do it - but an A8 is faster in the 1/4 regardless)

Find that same dyno and do all the bolt ons and 500 range is guaranteed. You can gain 30-35 rwhp from just a good E85 tune

I’ve seen other gts with those mods and they run 470s-480s range more typically

The mods in my sig should be good for 480-500 rwhp range. If you dyno an auto and use 5th you can drop 20-25 off of that estimate

Also if one runs a car and doesn’t use sae correction you can inflate the numbers by 10-20 rwhp as well. They don’t show the correction on any of the 500 rwhp gt that ive seen. Kinda fishy imo

I’m getting a dyno done on the 7th I’ll post results
How bad is fuel mileage drop with E85?

I’d like to know if a 103 would even benefit a bolt on car.

Does anyone know?

I’d be worried it would kill velocity too much. Possible pick up a few hp way up top and slow down everywhere else. Car may go slower in the end...

Would love a dyno test from someone lol

I haven’t got exact numbers. I think it’s about 30% less efficient. I average about 17-18 mpg combined city and highway driving. Spirited. With no afm

I'd say a ported stock TB vs a 103mm would be the only argument to make in that list honestly.

I feel like it'd lose a little low end in favor of top end.

To quote tony Mamo, these aren’t your grand fathers gen I sbc. You can’t put too big of a carb on it nor can you have too much air flow going into the motor.

So I don’t think the question is “will it hurt performance?” But “will it gain any performance?”

As soon as msd gets back from being mamo’fied, I will be happy to do a back to back with a 103 and stock throttle body. (If you want me to do one with a ported one, then you have to send me one. Lol)
