How hard is it to change the BOV on stage 1 pro charger intercooler

Just ordered a D1 kit and only plan on running about 580whp at first so I went with the standard BOV. Eventually want to add meth or lt4 fuel system and up the boost and will want to change to Tial Q BOV or the Procharger race valve since I think the standard one is only rated for 8-10 psi. Just wondering how hard it is to swap out the BOV (specifically on the stage 1 IC.) Have a friend with the d1 kit and stage 1 IC on a challenger and he said he had to modify and weld to install it, hoping thats not the case.

Yeah I think the flanges on the intercooler are different for the regular valve vs the upgraded race valve.

Yeah, if you can cancel modify your order do it now.. You need the Stage 2 cooler vs the stage 1 you might get your 580whp on 1 run and 520 the rest due to temps.. Also I was told the intercooler is impossible to put on a race valve unless you get it from the factory completely different openings it hooks to and can't flange it together.

What he said. If you ordered it through a vendor, you can contact Procharger Monday morning and they can look up your order by your name and you can modify what you want and pay them the difference over the phone.

I know when I placed my order for mine I wasn't contacted by PC for information about my car to determine pulley etc for almost 6 business days. They build upon receiving the order and put about a two week lead time to build a kit and have it shipped out.
