Oh good grief, for a $400 mod it is worth it, still not a good return on investment if it was a $700 mod, how's that?

I would argue that $400 for a mod that made no appreciable difference in the performance could hardly be called worth it.

Yeah I don't feel it was worth it either and I'm a big Tony Mamo fan.

My cousin and I have Manuals. He has the Mamo and I don't. Throttle response is night and day. I guess the Mamo is more effective with the stick cars.

I have a manual and after a month on my car I could tell no appreciable difference between the Mamo TB and stock. My only performance mod is a green drop-in filter.

That is a good possibility and a good idea to verify.

My car is a manual shift and I'm on week 4 now with just the TB and I'm telling you, there is no difference other than idle. I'll be installing the RotoFab CAI this weekend, I'm hoping maybe the combination of the two is the key? Paid $390 for mine.

I had a CNC ported TB on my 5th gen ZL1 and you knew immediately there was a change in throttle response. The same wasn't true with the Mamo TB. After I installed it, I scratched my head wondering what all the hype was about. As 45LongColt pointed out, the only measurable difference was a slightly rougher idle.

An idea from another thread...
Disconnect the negative battery terminal overnight after the install and let the car "re-learn" the airflow/MAF readings over a period of time. |

During the month I had the Mamo TB on my car, I replaced the rev matching paddles with red ones. This obviously required disconnecting the battery to avoid setting off the air bag. Made no difference in performance afterwards.

All I know is that the TM TB made a difference in my car. Again better throttle response, better take off. I had to recalibrate to the improvement but it didn't take long.
