Z06 for ZL1
Picking up my 2018 ZL1 convertible with 6-speed manual on Thursday. Much too many peoples chagrin, I am trading in my 2015 ZO6 convertible. Getting my red hot ZL1 from Terryville Chevrolet in Connecticut.

And here I am looking forward to possibly trading my 17 A10 ZL1 for a new Z06...
Just curious. Why the switch? |

I have both cars. Advantages to both. Between the two I'd probably pick the Z06 though, it's just lighter and faster. Biggest advantage of the Camaro used to be interior space/back seats, but the back seats of the 6th Camaro are VERY small, driver/passenger space is very similar to the Corvette. If it weren't for the lower cost of entry, I don't see a glaring reason to pick the ZL1 if you could afford a Z06 just as easily.

Hell, great choice based solely on the fact that the guys on the Corvette Forum's pictures are next to the term Douchebag in the dictionary.

I had buy ZO6 convertible for 3 years. I put 6700 miles on it. I thought the cockpit was more comfortable and that the ride was more comfortable and because it's a convertible I never tracked the car anyway. I know it's a little bit longer and a little bit narrower than a ZO6 but the ZO6 always felt so huge to me. I never felt that comfortable driving it and felt more comfortable in the ZL1. I always had Porsches before I had the ZO6 and believe it or not the ZL1 felt more like that to me then did the ZO6. Maybe I was just ready for a change and they have to drive in the ZL1 I really thought that I would enjoy owning it.

My friend just traded his '16 Z06 for a ZL1 1LE. Him sitting on the sidelines with his overheating Z06 watching me run all day apparently convinced him to trade.

Z06 for ZL1
Add me to the list of people who have got out of a Z06 and will be into a ZL1....albeit via an Audi S5. Waiting on the 2019 ZL1 - S5 just isn’t cutting it.
The Z06 was OK but I didn’t really ever enjoy it anywhere near as much as my modded 2013 ZL1 on a day to day basis - hard to explain why - just didn’t connect with it and found myself worried about it more than it was worth - the Camaro I felt I could beat on much more - I guess because of the $ value difference between the 2 or something. Here’s a few pics of the Z06 before I got rid of it:

I think you made a good choice, myself having gone from a 2016 Z06 to a 2017 ZL1.
I kinda think the ZL1 has a better look than the Z06, although the new ZR1 kills them both in both looks & performance. |
