SOLD: Borla ATAK w/ NPP axleback
UPDATE: SOLD
Hey guys, long time lurker, second time posting (already posted in the for sale section, but thought i'd include it in the Cali subsection if anyone is interested in buying and picking up.) I am looking to sell my Borla ATAK axleback. It's in excellent condition, had it on for about 5k miles, and its one of the ones that have the revised NPP valved outer tips. Looking to sell, or maybe trade for a Flowmaster American Thunder NPP axleback. I know, i know, its not exactly an upgrade lol, but it's what i want. Everyone kept talking about the "drone boogeyman" and how drone is bad, and not having any experience with what drone actually is, i went with the Borla which was the most popular choice among the forums and instagram, and i know now that the Borla is in fact 100% drone free... I'm old school tho, and like my v8's to have a booming rumble to them, and i didn't know that what i know as interior resonance/boom is what some people call drone ![]() I'm looking for that boom tho. Nothing against the Borla ATAK, it does sound badass at WOT, but i want something with a deeper tone and more interior sound, especially at low RPMs which is where i'm at most of the time, and the Borla is too relaxed at low RPMs. So, with all that said, if someone is interested in buying, i am asking for $899 OBO. I know new is like $1,600, but i'm willing to take a partial loss to hopefully speed up the sale. It's almost like new. I live in Nipomo, CA, which is near the coast about midway between LA & the Bay, and about 2-3 hours from Fresno/Bakersfield; I would prefer a local pick-up, or meet halfway from anywhere near the above mentioned cities. I am willing to ship, at buyer's expense. I will post up pictures after i get home from work. Last edited by that17ss; 04-09-2018 at 09:23 AM. |

I've been interested in the Borla Atak for a while now... how is it compared to the stock NPP?

Much much louder than stock, for damn sure lol but what’s cool is that in tour/stealth mode its still pretty quiet, which i’m sure my neighbors are happy about every morning. For example, from a scale of 1-10, stock NPP is like a 4/10 loudness-wise at WOT, wheras the borla is like a 8/10. I also have cat delete test pipes which i slapped on for a while to see the sound- thats like an 11/10 lol which i’m guessing is how loud it would be with catless headers
