My car isn't in AS anymore, but to answer your questions:
Alignment: As much negative camber in front as you can get. After the fronts are dialed in I usually go 1 degree less in the rear than the front. I have 0 toe front/back, but some run a smidge toe out front.

Wheels: As light and strong as you can afford. Personally I never cared about how they 'looked' I just wanted light & strong.

Tires: Bridgestone RE-71R's are the current flavor. Go with 305 square (this means 19's for wheels). There are others that will suggest other sizes/brands, so it will end up with how-it-feels-to-you.

Basically exactly what he said! I was going to go the super light weight wheel route but they are just too expensive so I went with the MRR ZL1 1LE replicas, they are lighter than the stock SS 1LE wheels and I got the 19s so I can run the 305/30/19 RE71Rs!

Here’s a shot of them on the car!

lol

How many sets of wheels do you have?
Stock 1LE, the ones in your sig pic, and these ZL1 1LE's.....any others?

I currently have three cars, and each has an extra set of wheels for winter, I thought I was bad.

So the 305 works well on the stock front 10 inch width?
Where did you buy the wheels?

I actually just sold the ones in my sig on Friday lol 3 sets was a little much and I will have a garage next winter so I won’t need them for a winter set.

They barely bulge at all on the 10” wides, plus the RE71Rs have very stiff sidewalls so they don’t flex much. There are tons of other guys that run this wheel/tire setup, including the guy that took home 1st place in CAM-C at Nationals last year!

I got the wheels from PKAuto, they are a vendor here on the site, these are the second set I bought from Paul I couldn’t recommend him enough!

Hows the turn in and response with the 305s on a 19x10? All the 305/30/19 tires i've looked at say the smallest rim they should be mounted on is 10.5".

The shop didn’t say they had any issues mounting them and they didn’t scuff the wheels so I was very happy!

I thought 305s on the front (SS 1LE) would rub when you add a bunch of camber or does grinding down where it rubs fix that?

It was killer!!! So caveat up front... it was COLD!!! It was around 35 degrees for the morning heat so it was a struggle to get any temperature in the tires. The first two runs were a sliding mess but after the 2nd run I had the fronts warmed up pretty good, the rears just weren’t having it and they stayed pretty cold for all six runs.

With all that said the turn in with the 305 REs up front is phenomenal! It’s hard to judge the over balance of the setup based on today because it was very oversteer happy due to the cold rears. But there was virtually no understeer that I could notice!

I ended up with the 3rd fastest raw time 8 tenths behind my buddy Rusty in his A-Street C5Z that he trophied in at Nats last year and 2 tenths behind another really fast guy in a new Cayman S which is an S-Street car. And right behind me was an ASP Cayman with a quick driver.

So yea the 305 square RE71Rs are legit! Haha

I will post up the video of my fastest run 2moro

Sounds like you had a lot of fun.

Where were the specs on the wheels again? Were they the MRR 19x10.5 +14? Did you have any issues with fenders rubbing?
