are you really still perpetuating this horseshit? LMR and Lund both went 12.0x bone stock and ecobeast went 12.1x none of them are "pro drivers" whatever the **** that even means in a stock mustang with an automatic trans and .15 isn't quite half a second last time I checked.

Cut the shit and get off your high horse. You know damn well what I'm talking about. There were 2 shops who went 12.2 and 12.3 respectively with DRs. Or did you forget about that? So why is there such a huge discrepancy in the reported performance of the Mustang? Answer that smartass.

there could be a hundred reasons... atmospheric conditions, track conditions, some cars are just stronger runners. Steeda went 12.24@117 on 235 A/S tires and 1400' d/a

thats really quite simple. atmospheric conditions play a huge role in the performance of a vehicle.

Looking forward to the spring. I will have the real 2018 GT scoop. S197 and S550 GT autos w/3.55 gears both ran 12.4s stock at Atco. Low 12.2s on the S550 with just tires added no skinnies. A .4 gain stock is a lot to ask to match the SS A8, we shall see.

Yet none of the reviews have, in fact they have stated the opposite of M/T said.
Show me a review that has gone to the lengths that M/T has.

Hopefully Car and Drive includes a 2018 GT equipped with PP1 in Lightning Lap 2018.

Lightning Lap Times:

2017 SS 1LE 2:54.8
2015 GT 3:05.2

If you click the 1LE package on an SS, you get the ZL1 suspension parts.
The SS 1LE was released before the ZL1 so one could argue the ZL1 is getting SS 1LE parts.

We know that is not really true because the ZL1, at the very least, has different front brakes than the SS 1LE.

I'm still waiting to see a tuned/fuel/tire '18 GT smash the Zl1's brains in. That "fake news" by the Mustang fanboys still hasn't been proven to happen.

Heh 'Maro person!

You do realize the the only "fake news" out there originates from some people on Camaro forums wildly accusing Ford aficionados of making statements that '18 GT's will destroy 6th gen SS's.

I'm on Mustang forums, and across the vast majority of them this just isn't happening.

Please stop spreading the madness ...

So by saying the A10 GT doesn't "beat" the M6 Camaro, you're indicating that it will stick with it.

Got it, thanks!

SS 1LE and ZL1 have different spring rates and MRC programming to account for the weight difference. Quite a bit of time is spent in computer models and on the Nurburgring to determine a chassis setup, so it's not as simple as throwing a bunch of ZL1 parts on an SS 1LE or vice versa.

The ZL1 rear brakes are different as well with bigger pistons and rotors. According to Chevrolet they have the same braking performance, wonder how good the SS 1LE would be with ZL1 brakes.

YouTube. I'd suggest watch the videos. There are hundreds of comments. Just go to Lunds run. When that run came out, all hell broke loose over on this forum. Now, we obviously know it's bs, and we all know over here on the Maro forum that a tune/fuel/and tire GT will not even sniff the rear bumper, but still............I, myself am waiting for it to happen since we spent about 3 weeks on here trying debunk the trolls from the Mustang forums. Deep down you guys believe that shit. Now, we have guys claiming..............a stock GT with blower only will put down 840 hp. Again, we are all waiting for that to happen.

As a hot rod owner for most of my life, 1st car was a 67 Camaro, these new, better suspension, better HP&TQ ponies are all to be praised and enjoyed. Whether on the track or drag strip, "Just shut up and win"! If I had a 12 sec car in 1977 I'd be the talk of the town. See you in the twisty's! Carry On.
