3LT Trim Coming for 2019?

GM Authority found an NHTSA document citing a Camaro 3LT! I guess this is how they’ll make it cheaper. Taking standard features out of 1LT and making them standard on 2LT will lower the cost a lot. They may also restructure the SS with a 3SS to lower the cost of the 1SS. No Documents are final until they get 60 days from production, according to GM Authority.

What does it mean when you say some options will be taken off the 1LT? Something like a 4" radio screen? No lift shift removed, power seats and stuff like that?

I would guess that RS is being transitioned to 3LT and there will no longer be 1LT/RS available because the RS overlaps with 2LT features and creates a conflict in the number of build guides at the factory.

If there was a true 3LT trim coming, you would expect the same separation of trims on the SS, but no 3SS is listed.

Theoretically, the 1LT would become the 2LT and the 2LT would become the 3LT. The NEW 1LT would probably have no power seats, no power mirrors, fixed rear seats, no remote start, and potentially no LED DRLs. It would drive the price down a lot.

My Camaro is due back in December. I just hope this refresh is worth getting into and the SS has some tweaks on the motor which i am doubting to give it a bit more besides the exterior changes. Worst case i will be saving up for a 19' ZL1 ect. Just have to continue to wait and see, shouldn't be much longer till announcements come i presume with the shows coming up.
