Nitrous bottle compatibility
I have two 10lbs Zex nitrous bottles that went with my 5th gen v6 Camaro. Now that I have a 2017 V8, I’m looking at the nitrous express system. My question is, are the bottles compatible for use with the new system.

There are sometimes other differences like bottle diameter. Most newer bottles have gauge ports pre valve so you can heat the bottle and see the pressure without having to open the bottle. That is nice if you want to get ready just in case but not have to waste any nitrous filling the lines.

If your bottles are older, one issue that you might run into is certification. The bottles have a certification date stamped into them which is good for 5 years. Some places that fill nitrous bottles require that date to be current (not expired). If you do run into this problem, the bottles can be re-certified by a gas-supply shop.
