Power comes from the amount of fuel you can burn in the cylinder efficiently.

Fuels with lower Stoich Values typically make more power because your burning more fuel.

Nitro methane is at the other end of the spectrum, if you had the fuel system and parts to deal with the volume of fuel and cylinder pressures created by the fuel you can make nearly 4 times the power or more

Nice build!
I'll be happy with 600rwhp & a 10.99 time slip

That should be a fairly easy goal being you can run 10.9-11.0 with just headers, rotofab, ported im/tb, e85, drag pack, and tune with these cars.

I should mention in good air at lower elevation. So it depends on your track and conditions. The whipple will get you there even in high elevation.

I know with the Maggie @laynlo was running in the 10.8 range @129mph with just the blower and DR’s.

I think getting into the 10’s is a very basic setup with pretty much nothing else.getting into the 9’s requires some work because to get our big sleds into the 140mph range isn’t as simple. That’s especially true for the vert guys that have an extra 300lbs jammed into the car.

Agree...the wall seems to be 10.0 with these cars. Takes a lot more effort to get over it and run in the 9's.

On a coupe it appears that we need approximately 700whp to run 9’s. On a vert who knows, nobody has done it. Hopefully once the weather gets nice we will figure that out too.

I'm just going to start with bolt-ons & if I run 10's I'm done.

I think this thread is about a setup that puts cars into the 9’s if they want to track their car. The Super Street Brawler package that Ted has put together is as good as it comes with an easy path to get into the 700’s and a bit more extreme option to run into the 800’s.
