Corsa resonators

So I'm not looking to change out my muffler but looking at other methods of deepening the tone a little. I've watched a few videos on these Corsa resonators and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them. The videos do sound good and I notice the difference but its better to hear it from the horses mouth so to say. Thanks in advance................

First, I would highly recommend resonators. They help clean up the sound and take the edge off on some of the raspiness that can occur with catless headers (and especially for those that delete the muffler).

However, unless the exhaust shop I went to was trying to sell me their product instead, the Corsa resonators are wider in diameter and don't have a good place to fit them without touching/rubbing on something.

I ended up going with Vibrant Performance resonators. They are smaller diameter but longer length, and fit better with my 3-inch exhaust piping (AWE catback).

Do you have the stock suit case currently?

Thank you I will look into those as well. Sounds like you did exactly what I'm looking to do. Did you get the results you were looking for?

Get the Vibrant Resonators in the longest length that will fit. I think 14" works? Some one used them years ago welded in the area where the X pipe meets axle back and it fit perfect...sound was good too! I bought the Borla resonated X so I didn't have to take my car to an exhaust shop. I have a mut combo exhaust but it fit perfect and sounds amazing. Stock headers -> CA delete pipes -> AWE link pipes -> Borla resonated X -> Corsa Sport mufflers.

Its funny you mentioned those because I was just looking at these. I'm thinking they would fit where the crushed pipe section is located. I picked that spot since I already have the replacement pipes in place I can just swap them out.

I don’t have experience with them on a Camaro, but I put one on my 6.2L F150 with Kooks LT and green cats. I have the Corsa extreme cat back system and after installing the headers, the cold starts were scary to anyone around. It had the best old school muscle car sound, but it was almost too loud for all around driving. I called Corsa and asked about the resonators. The guy there recommended the larger over the smaller one for my application. The truck also has a Whipple. I put it in just in front of the of the muffler. It tamed the sound WAY down. It was almost too much. I wish I had done the smaller one. The raw muscle sound is almost gone, and it’s now a deeper muffled sound. You can still tell it’s modified, but night and day different than before I put it in.

I wouldn't say they're glass packs but they are straight through. Just looking to get rid of the raspiness some and add a little more tone to the sound.

Yup. It sounded better, nicer tone with a touch more growl.

They put them right before the Corsa mufflers in the section where they replaced the crushed pipes.

You don't have any issues with rubbing on the drivers side? The guy at the exhaust shop was worried about them rubbing or heating up the bushing around that side so I held off on installing them for now.
