Texas Speed Header Help

Hi I have the texas speed headers with the high flow cats. Getting ready to install these and noticed there are no bungs in the cats for the second o2 sensor. I called them they said i dont need them. Is this accurate? I was going to have my welder just weld bungs in and put them in. I dont want any codes. I am going to get this tuned in about 2 weeks. Thanks for your help.

Don't put them on until you're ready to tune out the codes. Mine have 3 bungs. Left and right front o2 sensors and one for a wideband. But i have catless so it might be a little different for you.

They probably told you don't worry about it because even tho they have cats they probably aren't efficient enough to clear your cat monitor without setting codes for catalyst inefficiency. So you absolutely need to tune out the codes before it has a chance to set codes. Once they are permanent codes then not getting rid of them without putting all your stock stuff back on.

I have the exhaust off now. Getting the wide band bung put in the header then getting them ceramic coated. I will get ahold of the tuner to see if he can tune these out before i start the car. Thanks

The bungs are not included for rear o2's because they high flow cats likely will still cause a cel. Have your tuner turn off the rear o2 codes. All they do is monitor catalyst efficiency.
