Drove the car up to Orange County and back today, on the way home the car felt extra bouncy, almost like driving a car with bad shocks or maybe even an out of balance tire but more so when going over bumps... I tried different drive modes and it changed a bit but was hard to tell...

If there was something wrong with my Mag Ride Shocks would I get a "Service Suspension" message in the DIC? I took a look at the shocks (through the wheels) and I don't see any fluid or anything...

I checked my wheels and all the weights are still on all my wheels (they only have about 2000 miles since they were mounted and balanced)...

Maybe it was just me, but something felt "off"... Of course I've only driven it about 600 miles since the first of the year and haven't taken it up this particular route in well over a year...

I haven’t driven mine in a while but mine also felt bouncy as heck the last time I drove it, I guess I need to buy some new struts and make the ol wallet cry for a bit

Do you have Mag Ride?

Yes, but I attribute mine to age as my car is a 2019 so I know it’s due for some new struts.

They wear out that fast? Mine is a 2020 but only has 11,500 miles on i so can't imagine my struts are going bad.

For me I wouldn’t say it was fast as I bought mine just before thanksgiving 2018 and I’m sitting at 104,000 miles, but maybe someone with low mileage like you will chime in and give some insight on the Mag Ride, a thought came to mind as I’m texting this, what is your tire pressure set at? my car likes right at 32 PSI

It was 32psi cold and was 35psi hot...

The shocks should be fine if no leaks. I have 17500 miles and tons of autocross and no issues. If you are in tour mode with weight in the back that can make the car more bouncy or soft feeling

OK, that's interesting, I had 2 large cases of water at the very back of my trunk (closest to the bumper) that were not in there on the way up to Orange County (when the car seemed to drive fine)...

No problem. I load a seat, tiltup, tools and 80 lbs of sandbags for the tiltup and the rear in tour always feels soft

This almost felt like the fronts bouncing when going over bumps... It was weird... Like if you had bad shocks and it caused the tires to bounce a couple more times than they should going over a bump...
