Wheel and tire sizes
I have a 2019 2ss coupe. I just recently bought 305/35/20 drag radials, the atturo az850dr. While waiting for them to arrive, I had blowout and one rear wheel is messed up so I’m going to have to replace my rims. I was going to attempt to squeeze the 305s on the stock 9.5 rears, yes I know it’s not ideal but a lot ppl do I see. But I gotta get new rims anyways. My question is if I go with a zl1 style, 20x10 +23 in front, 20x11 +43 rears, will the 305/35/20, they should fit fine huh? I know the front stock tires won’t work for the 10” wide rims so I know I gotta grab two front tires now, but the rears should be fine huh? I read about a harness relocate on driver side rear must be done.
What recommendations does anyone have with rims and tires, I wanted to keep the 305/35 drag radials I’m waiting on, what would be a good front tire size if I decide to go with the 20x10 front / 20x11 rear rims |

So the ZL1 rear wheels at 11” wide should be perfect for that tire. Keep in mind it’s a big tire circumference wise so you’ll need something like 275/35/20 up front on the 20x10” ZL1 wheel to keep the difference in height to less than 1”. Just my 2 cents.

I couldn’t decide 275/35/20 in the front, or 285/30/20. Would both fit okay huh?
I read about the Atturo being slightly smaller so I was going squeeze them in the stock ss rims. My gf was driving the car to work, and she took having run flats literal. Had a blowout and she keep on her merry way smh so one rim, idk it’s not bad bad, I don’t wanna chance it with new tires and end up jacking up a wheel bearing or something. So off to find rims now and front tires |

The stock fronts (245/40/20 Goodyear Eagle F1) could conceivably be stretched onto a 10" rim width without much drama. The specs on that tire give a rim width range of 8-9.5", so you'd only be going 1/2" wider. With their fairly tall sidewalls, there is some range to stretch them, I believe. And the 305/35/20 rear would only be 2.5% taller than the stock fronts (27.7" diameter vs 28.4"), and that is not going to upset the ABS or Stabilitrak. If it were me, I'd try it first before buying something taller. Taller tires invariably lead to worse cornering and braking, and are practical concerns with going much taller up front than the stock SS tires.
For that matter, I guess the drag racing guys have the 28.4" 305/35/20s figured out in terms of fitment? Because that's a tall tire to fit in that wheel well. Seems like a bad idea to me, but I see enough posts about this that it must be workable.

Absolutely: nothing opinion about it! That combo has a rear diameter 6% bigger than the front, and the ABS is going to shit a brick.

Thanks for the help guys. So I’m going 275/35 front with 20x10 +23 and on rears 305/35 on the 20x11 +43. Now I got some other decisions, z28 style or zl1? I’m liking these z28 replicas.

I love the Z28 look, and I love the 6th-gen SS 1LE look. I also have three sets of MRR replica ZL1 1LE wheels, so I obviously think they look good too. But yeah, this is pure opinion...except that a simple five-spoke (of which none of my list are) is a lot easier to clean than just about anything else.
