Procharger Install

How hard is it to DIY install a Stage 2 P1-X Procharger with intake manifold?
And could I drive it ~5 Miles to my tuner or would I 100% need to have it trailered over?

Procharger install

Procharger install is pretty straight forward depending on your mechanical skills. The instructions are well written and have alot of pictures. I wouldn't see any problem driving to your tuner, just don't install the belt for the procharger.

You can drive it to the tuner by leaving the supercharger belt off as mentioned above unless you changed the high side fuel system. The stock fuel system isn't going to keep up with adding a P1x to your current mods unless you get a 5-6psi pulley.

So I should upgrade my fuel system to match the LT4 with a tune first and then just keep the belt off and no issues?

Think about your goals for the car. If you think you’re going to want to make big power at some point, buy better fuel components now (maybe Goliath HPFP plus +50 injectors or go to port injection). If you just want stock to mild mod ZL1 power then LT4 fueling is fine.

This! So same difference with my L87 (the good yr.) and Lingenfelter version of 2650. It ran good but not great with their kit at maybe 5-6 lb with 3-in duals cat back. Changed the pulley more or less 10 lb with lt4 fuel system. I usually run about 42% e and 93 with 100% meth as backup. King and Joshinator were a great help with awesome advice! It is stock sbe so I'm good I guess it's an eighth mile terror on the street because of four-wheel drive. I don't roll only dig bc way over 5k lbs rw. No spin just go NOW in your face! My advice don't even think about skimping on the fuel system I would just go ahead and do exactly what Josh said. If I had it to do over it would be overkill for the future because we never stop LOL but hey fbe coming after I wear this sucker out.

You are going to need rods and pistons for 800+ And I would not run over 550-575whp on pump gas. Ethanol will take you to 700-725whp safely on the stock bottom end, but you are going to need a lot more than the LT4 fuel system to support it with a stock cam. Port Injection is the most cost effective, or you will need FIC +30, Goliath HPFP, and a low side upgrade as well.

I am keeping the procharger at stock PSI for now, I am getting cam/heads/internals later, I think the stock internals can handle stock PSI.

I would avoid Weapon X for sure, their customer service is terrible. The TooHighPSI or DSX ones are awesome and more cost effective to boot.

I cant find any other kits, the results just keep showing weapon-x, is it just their customer service?

It seems like overall for now its best to procharge it first, run at a slightly lower psi and then do cam/heads/internals and fuel system later and then increase the psi

Not just their customer service. Used to be terrible at meeting promised dates, too. Almost like they needed the next order to float the funds for getting the previous orders paid for from their suppliers so parts would ship.
I eventually got everything, but if I hadn't been sent on a 2-year out of town work assignment I would have been very upset.
Seems like I read a post recently about them just coming back up on line after some company problems.

Since you are going procharger, you don't need port plates if you buy a manifold (BTR) that has injector bungs already drilled for port. You would just need the Atlas or Reflex controller, harness, injectors.
