Arrow ANTI-GRAVITY - Group Buy

I just signed up with Anti-Gravity and like always, wanted to find out who was interested in participating in a group buy? Discounts are awesome if we can get 5 or more. (3) flavors to choose from... let me know

I am probably in. I put a lightweight lithium in my C5 (a daily driver) but it was like only 5-6lbs.
Braille G30

Why do these weigh so much more?

I wouldn’t use anything less than a 40 amp hour version. That’s what I have now and if I were to do it again I’d do the 60.

Make sure you get their specified charger too. I tried another one that was compatible with lithium iron phosphate batteries but it still didn’t work. They only guarantee that the charger they sell works (which it does).

Right? I had a SHORAI battery in my 01SS Camaro, weighed 4.5lbs
I guess the electronics in the newer cars need more?

I have been considering a lighter battery. But it's a disappointment not being able to go full weight loss with the 24 amp. So it's up to the 40 amp. But you wouldn't do that again, why?

So you're talking about getting the 40 amp? I just weighed my stock battery 5 times and it was 45.4LBS but I'm assuming you're talking about the 40 amp.

This car needs to shed weight from the front, not the rear...

The 40 AH battery netted me a solid 30 pound weight savings. The 60 AH would not be far behind either. Not sure why that’s a problem? These cars have a ton of electronics, this isn’t a ‘69 Camaro lol. Not only that, but if you want to run your cooling fan, intercooler pump, etc at the track, you won’t be doing that for long on a 24 AH battery.

Also true.

Unlike my last car, this cars A/C is staying!
A battery is easy weight reduction and it won't hurt. I'll take a little weight reduction anywhere off the car as long as it's easy but I am not turning this car into a tin can

Also true.

Thanks. I was just wondering what kind of issues you may of had with the 40a to opt for the 60a if you did it all over. But it sounds like you have more electrical things to worry about. Are you talking about running those electrical things with the motor off?

The 60a isn't a problem lol, It's just that if I personally was going to spend money like that for a battery I would want to make it count and get the most weight reduction as possible. So I was trying to figure out if I would be able to get away with the 40a at least. Would be nice to have the 24a though.

I run the a/c in my car and the stereo is hooked up through my phones bluetooth for music. No onstar (fuse is pulled) or any of that crap lol. When my car is not being driven, the battery is disconnected. So there's definitely no power draw there. Idk man, just being greedy lol , trying to get an idea of what I can get away with and plus the lighter one is cheaper

I'm trying to understand the 40ah vs 60ah myself. I'm leaning to the 40ah. My car is a DD.
