Z26 pad problem

Just swapped out my Brembro pads to the Z26. All went fine, so I thought. Had a noise, clicking, during the hard stopping break in. Would go away when lightly apply brakes. Got home took front apart. The spring clips that come with Z26 are different. They are not bent the same. They give less pressure. Put in old clips and all is well.

Make sure you have them in correctly. When I put mine in, I had them inside out. Seems like it would be much easier if they were the same as the stock spring clips.

Nope went in the same. All I could see is the bend is different. The old, stock ones have arrows for us dummies.

I hope you saved your stock hardware. Go back to stock. Problem will be gone. The hardware that comes with the Z26 pads allows them to move, hence the clacking/clicking/rattling sounds.

Thanks Anvil, but if you see, I had already put the stock clips back in. Noise all gone. thanks. They are bent differently.
