Side emblem removal - outline of emblem
2018 SS 1LE Summit White
I removed the side emblems on the front panels - the camaro shield with the red/white/blue. After I removed the emblem and cleaned up the area, there is a very noticeable ridge where the emblem resided. It almost looks like the fender was clear coated with the emblems still attached. Wondering if anyone has seen this before and/or could offer any advice. If it cannot be fixed, then I'll reapply the side emblems. Thanks! |

I hit the area with Meguiar's M10508 and my Griots polisher.
I am not the original owner. I'm leaning toward the panels being recleared (or repainted/recleared) without removing the emblems. |

You could always use some high grit paper and repolish. I have some 15000 grit, will not leave visible scratches, but still need to polish after.

Were both fenders the same way ? Did you also remove the rear bumper emblem? I removed the fender emblems as well as the rear SS emblem and replaced them all with black/chrome SS logos. They all came of pretty easily, but left a little glue residue behind that I removed with Goof-off. Any chance it's just glue residue ?
