Cut-off at 4000rpm. Track Day. 10speed Auto

Hi Guys, i am new here.

I'm experiencing an issue where the car seems to cut off when reaching 4000-5000 RPM while accelerating out of a corner during a track day and also when going down the main straight. It just wont accelerate anymore past this rpm.

I tried searching for similar cases but only found answers related to the M6 transmission, not the 10-speed automatic Camaro 2SS (without the 1LE package).

The car is completely stock and hasn't been tuned. I know this might seem like a silly question considering stock car, but I just want to understand if this behavior is normal and whether tuning is the only solution.

The car can accelerate smoothly under normal conditions on the highway as long as I don't hit the redline.

TIA
