2017 SS making buzzing/vibration type noise

Have 2017 SS. Yesterday I started hearing an odd buzzing/vibration type noise from the back area of my car. Does it at different speeds. It almost sounds like an electrical noise. Kind of like an electric toothbrush. Thought maybe it was the speakers but turned the system off and I still hear it. Any ideas? In the video below you can hear the sound start around 7 seconds. It is not constant. It goes for several seconds, then stops, then starts again, and off and on. Thanks for any help!

(I was sitting in the back seat when I did this video. Sounds like speaker area or trunk. Hard to tell.)

UPDATE: Drove it again in our neighborhood and when I heard it, we stopped the car and my brother got it. It is loud outside. Seems to be from the right back wheel area.

That sounds like the driveshaft and I'm just shooting spitballs here.

its a rotating buzzing noise, almost like the driveshaft is vibrating, or rubbing on something.

It hums with the idling of the engine which is why I say it sounds like a driveshaft, and the sound changes when you give it gas as the speed of the driveshaft changes.

Just my observations and I'm not saying that's your issue. I'm no expert, just making guesswork here.

FlukeSS - The sound doesn't really change with you give it gas. It just comes and goes whenever. Sometimes louder, but not really when your changing speed or stopped necessarily. We were driving in our neighborhood on the video so never went over 30, but the day before when I was on the interstate, and first heard it, it would just come and go. Might go for 10 seconds and stop, then start again for 5 seconds or 10, etc. Not really changing with different speeds. I was afraid of what it migth be and never went over 65 (which was very hard for me. LOL)

Understood, I thought it changed with engine speed maybe it didn't like I thought. If that is the case then I defer to the others on the forums as they know these things better than I do.

I replied on your Reddit post I believe, hearing the sound on my computer now.

Definitely louder than any interior rattle and since you can hear it outside of the car then it's most definitely suspension/exhaust.

I do agree that it seems rotational, leaning towards exhaust then. If it was a differential noise I'd imagine you'd have much bigger issues than just noise.

I'd check the driveshaft and axles just to be sure as there's history of those bolts backing off, doubt it's that but just to be safe. My guess is the muffler or resonator has some catastrophic failure internally. Maybe something broke off inside and hits certain spots that make that noise?

As long as you have no CEL or codes then the exhaust is where it points to imo.
