LT1 Stock front W/ Drag Rears

Will I run into an issue with running my stock 245/40/20 fronts with a 305/45/17 rears? diameter is 27.7 with stock and 27.8 with the rears. Anyone else running this combo?

It should be fine. I am about to run that setup as well in a couple days when my new wheels get mounted because right now I have a drag pack on (305/45/17). The difference is under the % to throw it off so should be A-okay. I can reply once I have em all up and mounted though for peace of mind.

The diameter won't be an issue. The only concern is that you may end up with rear tires that need a lot more slip angle to generate lateral grip because they are drag raials (I'm ass-uming) and they'll have around 40% more sidewall than your fronts. This could be disconcerting in regular driving due to feeling like the car is trying to swap ends, even though it isn't. It could legitimately cause you swap ends in an emergency lane change scenario.

Got them mounted earlier today. My drag pack is exactly what you are stating: a 305/45/17, and I have it on a 17x10 wheel. My fronts are a 245/40/20 on a 8.5in wheel and overall, car felt good. As someone else stated it may feel a little weird in a way but maybe I am just used to it, but feels good to me! As always, just be careful and there shouldn’t be any problems driving I am planning on running the 245s with a 305/35/20 once I buy the matching wheels for the rear. I am not too worried and that’s an even bigger difference in terms of diameter %.

Of course. Here’s how the fitment is looking with a front spacer since they sit too far in for my liking. Lowered on eibach springs.
