Anybody know how to recline the seat when its out of the car

I recently put an OMP seat in my car, the OEM seat has just been in my house. But now I want to build a sim and want to use the OEM seat, but I had to angle the seat pretty far forward to get it out of the car. Does anybody know how i can recline the seat with it not connected to the car?

Maybe carry it over to the car and set it next to the car and try to stretch the seat harness plug over to it and plug it in?

If you knew what the positive and negative are on the harness, you can just jump it with a power tool battery pack to power it up.

Maybe something like this, https://amzn.to/47cmkxv, and inject power into the seat harness and then use the recline switch to move it back into proper position. I'm not sure if there is a pin out diagram somewhere for the plug for which is positive and negative pins.

That is another great option, I use mine quite often for temporary power. But I think he’s looking for something he can use in the house.

This might actually be what I need, I only need to move it once to set an angle I want, after that I wont adjust it again. Thanks!

No problem, good luck! I'm sure there is a pin out of the plug somewhere

Won't necessarily be cheap, but the easiest way is to get a body side connector to the seat which per the wiring diagram from koolkat68, you should just be able to apply 12 volts from a battery.

Not the easiest way, but it will certainly work. That and as mentioned by others, this will give you an easy way to adjust the seat over time or for other drivers in your game. You know if you ever allowed guests to play

Hard is that connector is likely part of a much bigger wiring harness so $$$. Maybe junk yard or on line???
