Touch up paint kit?

Who makes the best touch up paint kits? I got a couple small chips and scratches driving to Camaro Fest.

I would use GM touch up paint, but go to a craft store and look for the tiniest and sharpest cut brushes - like the point of a sharpened pencil. Go slow and add more coats as needed. Fast equals a mess.

Best method I've seen is the Dr Colorchip kit, you dab the paint next to it, smear it over the chip, let it dry 3 minutes and then buff with the included solvent. Best results I've ever gotten and nothing else compares, IMHO.

Dr Colorchip looks interesting. Price doesn't seem too bad either.

Not looking forward to needing one. Bought a three part kit from touchupdirect to do some fender flares for the Panther black metallic. It’s not as close a match as they say.

I used a two-stage paint pen system from paintscratch.com:

https://www.paintscratch.com

The color was an exact match. I did apply the paint pen to a glossy business card and applied it to the car with a toothpick.

I go to my local paint jobber and have them mix me a touch up bottle.. about $20. Use a toothpick, paint pen, syringe, hobby brush, etc to apply...

I tried GM Hyper Blue (aka Blue Me Away) and the color match is not even close in daylight but it looked ok in the garage when I originally applied some of it. I would not recommend it.

This website actually provided a perfect match and the 2oz container seals properly so it lasts indefinitely unlike their 0.5oz primer that I bought and touchup containers from other companies where you can still smell the paint while it is closed and it dries out over time.
