Oil Suggestion/Rec for Modified Cammed Camaro

Hello, this is my first post and I'm new in my understanding of oils. Curious as to what oil would be suggested for my build. Started off as a '17 SS 1LE, but was modified to Forged Pistons and Rods (possibly forged crank, from previous owner, unsure), LT4 Supercharger Conversion Kit, BTR Stage 2 Roller Cam, Intake, Tune, etc.

Always used 5w-30 Amsoil Signature Series, but am curious with the extremely hot summer (live in AZ) and it being cammed, if a thicker and/or different series oil would be rec. Currently also considering Amsoil ZRod 10w-30 or Zrod 10w-40.

Since it is a roller cam, not a tappet, is the extra high ZDDP/Zinc content needed (would ZRod be a good switch)? If so, is switching from OEM rec of 5W(30) to 10W of any concern? Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

Well our engines can handle 15w50 at the track, so anything up to and including should be fine as long as you let it warm up before gettin' jiggy with it.

If you are already using AMSOil 5W-50 then I'd just recommend switching to the AMSOil 0W-40 as that is the oil weight specified now by Chevy for the LT1 engines. Or if you want a little more then you could use the AMSOil 5W-50 signature series as that also has been tested to meet the new DEXOS R standard. Both the AMSOil 0W-40 and 5W-50 have been tested to meet or exceed the DEXOS R standard. They just don't pay GM a licensing fee to actually put it on the label like Mobil 1 does.

Going from the 5–30 to the 0-40 signature series will serve you quite well.

Amsoil is more expensive than its competitors anyway so why don't they just pay the license? Unless, of course, it doesn't meet all the testing standards...
