VIN numbers for regular CE Z4B cars, not ZL1s
For fun I've been watching the inventory online multiple daily to spot regular non-ZL1 Collector's Editions Z4B cars. I guess because I have a stake in it with an order, but I also like numbers... lol
So far, as of today, this is what I have. If anybody else has any, please let me know. I'm tracking the last 5 numbers of the VIN. 05589 - 2SS Coupe 06751 - 3LT Coupe 07167 - 3LT Convertible (mine) 07356 - 2SS Coupe Mine isn't showing up in inventory yet, although it is at 4300 status waiting for Jack Cooper to haul it to Indianapolis, so even though I've only seen 4, of course that doesn't mean that is all that has been produced. We will probably never know which VINs are regular CE cars. There are tons of ZL1s being made now, but I'm not tracking them. They have 350 to make, so I guess they are focusing on them first? We know they make the Cadillac's on the same production line and they share the VIN sequence. No problem. This gives us a little insight into how many and what sequence our regular Collector's Editions are made.

I'm sorry, but I can't find the insight, these numbers look essentially random. What is it that you wanted to highlight?

Yeah, of course, but beyond that there is no decipherable sequencing, nor any meaningful way to correlate the VIN to the trim or the serial number within the total allocation (350), so I don't see how this is interesting. Sorry if I'm missing something obvious...

The 350 only applies to the ZL1. There isn't any fixed limits on the non-ZL1's production numbers. They are definitely not in sequence either. The lowest SN I have seen other than 1/350 is 1G1FK1R66R0103527 with the latest being 1G1FJ1R68R0107517. Just a smidgen over 350 between those 2 numbers... I would have been very cool if they reserved a lot of sequential SN from 1 to 350 for the ZL1, then added the rest of the CE's after that. |
