Adding remote start

Hey y'all,

I have a 2021 and it didn't come with remote start. My local audio shop quoted an insane amount to install it, but I wanted to do some looking before making a decision. I've used the search function but I keep seeing people talking about manual Camaros, mine's an auto.

My question is, is it possible to add the OEM remote start system to the car, or is there a better aftermarket alternative? Viper? Compustar? etc.

I've added OEM remote start to a previous car of ours in the past, a 2009 Forester, but obviously this car being GM I'm not sure if I can do the same thing, which leads me here.

If I were to go aftermarket, I don't want it to lock and unlock the doors and open the trunk or anything, just simply start the car, remotely.

Thanks for any help in advance.

The 2021 Fleet Order Guide indicates that all 2021 Camaros with an automatic transmission included Remote Start. Which model do you have? Did you buy the car new or used?

If you bought the car used then it is possible that you received a FOB for a car with a manual transmission that doesn't include Remote Start.
