A10 Transmission Upgreade
My Transmission is failing after 45k, the new motor is too much for it.
What are you higher horsepower guys doing to make the 10L90 live over 1200 hp? |

TH400 swap or rebuild the A10 frequently depending on usage.

Is Midnight Performance only Ford for the 10-speeds? LMP mentioned they started rebuilding, in-house, and will only build if they tune it or something. Tim King is someone else I have heard of.
I've not had any experience with any of these guys (but have heard good things about them), and, also, don't know if they build the tranny to 1200 behind the butth0l3 or wheel.

Depending on where you are in Indiana and if you're wanting to stay local. Ethan Patterson of WP Developments has been building 10r80's for a little while. The major components are identical inside.

Yes and he has had to rebuild the A10 several times to get there. He has even said it multiple times that it's not a easy feat to go that fast with the A10. They don't like power levels above 1100+ whp. I don't know if it's tuning support, mechanical limits, or both. Hopefully he will see this thread and chime in. I know many have went right to the TH400 vs rebuilding a A10 every few track outings.
