best look and best functional do not go together.

Best functional are the universal $15 pieces , gives up something in fit and aesthetics. Not good for those without skills and creativity or need a full sheet of instructions and install solution.

Best look might the ZL1 add-ons. Those are two short on the front to be effective especially with the 1LE and ZL1 type tires.

I've run both. I know which work and which do not.

ACS Composite rock guards. They are form fitting and do a good job of protecting the rockers. And they look good with the ZL1 side skirts.

ACS. Pricy, but look OEM. I have them on my 2022 ZL1. Very pleased.

A few months back I purchased the deluxe rock guards from ZL1 Addons, threw them on the shelf and completely forgot I had them. A couple of months later I saw the RokBlokz and thought they looked pretty sweet, so I grabbed a set. I installed the RokBlokz and was not at all impressed with the front guards. The don't use any hardware at the top and merely use a small tab to tuck in between the fender and wheel well. It didn't take much for them to pop out at the top. I then remembered the ZL1 Addons and installed them and they are a much better fit. The hardware is secure and they stay in place. I'm happy with them.

Lol have seen the universal ones in another thread but I lack creativity and prefer a manual. Got any instructions or helpful hints?

Anyone have issues with car washes? I'm looking for a set but I am concerned about them getting ripped off by the brushes.

Oof I would not recommend you take your car through automatic car wash!

What about brushless washes? You know, for when you're extra lazy but still kind of care

Better off driving a dirty car until the laziness wears off, IMHO.

Brushless uses those cloth strips? I would still worry about scratches. And you have no control over what chemicals they're using on your paint.

I also worry about wide tires on any sort of track. And ride height over the tracks. I'm just a hell no for any sort of automated or brushless car wash.

There is a completely touchless car wash near me that doesn't touch the car at all except for the water and the soap/chemicals it uses. It also doesn't have a track to guide the car. I might consider using it in a pinch, but I wouldn't want the chemicals on my car without knowing more about what they are.
