Rears: 19x11 with a 305/30/19


Do you see a disadvantage to running a shorter rear tire?
There is no 305/35 avail in my tire.

Yes, I don't think that's going to work out well.

Last year PS4S were near sold out and I just went 325/30/19 and 305/30/19 on OEM SS 1LE widths and offsets. I wanted to go 285/35 and 305/35 but not available.

10" is the minimum width for 305s, it's a little pinched but not bad. 325 on 11s works fine. I even did an autoX race on them, no issues. The 325s have a lot of grip for accelerating.

It will look kind of odd with shorter rear tires. I am personally running 275/35/19 and 295/35/19 tires for street and rain use (Michelin Pilot Sport 4S). That's a better fit overall.

You don't want to run shorter tires in the rear than the front. The computers will not be in their happy place and you're likely to get a lot of error messages and limp mode type issues.

You would be much better off putting a 30 series tire on front or you could go with with a 295/35-19 in back.

I'd prefer to have the Goodyear Supercar 3 tire, so limited sizing. :-/

Mickey Thompson makes a nice street tire that can be rotated from left to right that would fit the bill nicely for your front

285/35/19 or 255/35/19

Much cheaper than the Michelins and Goodyears

I’m debating this as well. How would the car handle with 285/35/19 and 325/30/19 in the back?

I just can’t do the 305 in the front. Too much poke and don’t want to run camber plates and more the -2 in the front on the street. Kicking around Anderson fenders but aftermarket body panels in my experience are never great…

In that case, you could probably get away with the 285/35 up front and the 325/30 in back. The 325s have recommended rim widths of 11-12", so you'd be within that range. They are only 0.2" shorter than the 285/35, so hopefully not a big enough difference to matter.

The other option would be to go with a shorter front tire, like Clyde suggested. The 295/30/19 would fit on the front 19x10s with a diameter of 26.0", and they would pair well with the 325/30s in back at 26.7". That's probably what I'd do, given your wheel sizes and desire to stick with the SC3s.

What wheels and offsets do you run the 305-30-19s and 325-30-19s? I see the local very fast F Street driver is running a 305-30-19 Falken square setup

All OEM except 19s instead of 20s.

I run 315/30/19 RT660s on 11" square setup for autox.
