Recommended Mods (other than obvious mods)

So I an new to the Camaro world, just getting a used 2017 2SS.

Other than the normal and obvious mods (intake, headers), what other mods are recommended? (I am thinking I may get a Rotofab and stick with stock exhaust for now).

I will likely black-out the chrome strips on the front bumper. Anyone have a link to a How-To for that?

I already found a How-To for more seat recline and will definitely be doing that.

Probably going to get a Mishimoto catch can as well.

Anything else?

I heard (from the interwebs) that a catch can will add 150 HP.

There are usually model specific mods/fixes to fix or improve usability for almost any car. That is mainly what I am looking for.

So something like moding the seats for more recline angle is a perfect example.

I may get a rear seat delete also. Just never saw why either the Camaro or Mustang had rear seats that are basically unusable.

A set of ACS composites rock/splash guards is also likely.

As for more extensive mods such as heads, cam, supercharger, etc., I don't think I want to do that.

I modified my C6 GS with supercharger, clutch, headers, etc. It is a rabbit hole that you can go down a long way; looking to avoid that with this car.

All good stuff.

The big thread of mods is a treasure trove of stuff you can do.

Rabbit hole indeed. Rock guards are a good investment, especially if you plan on eventually adding wider wheels/tires. One simple mod I love is a trunk pull (see pic). Keeps your hands off the trunk when closing. Got mine from ebay. I bought a kit from Big Worm Graphix to blackout the chrome strips, was worth the $10 versus cutting my own.

Thanks for the lead on that! After I had paint correction done, I always used the emergency release handle to close the trunk on my 2016 1LT. However, the struts on the trunk of my 2021 3LT offer a lot more resistance, and the emergency release handle didn't seem up to that task. This pull strap looks like it will be a perfect alternative!

The updated flux capacitor from Acme is good for 100 additional HP.

Hydraulics, gold pin stripping and underglow!

Also for real black out lenses in side and rear reflectors

It looks like the previous owner installed Diode Dynamics smoked markers. So free bonus.
