If my car will do 165.8 in the 1/2 mile, what in 1.25 miles?

Just ran 165.8 at the NFZ Gila Bend event last Saturday and wanting to go grab a 200mph tshirt at an upcoming event in April and knock that off my bucket list.

Having run 171 in a mile and 186 in a 1.5 mile event with a 150hp less C5 Z06 I'm thinking it's a doable thing though this beast isn't as slippery.

Anyone done one of these longer events with these cars and 685 whp yet?

I mean, just theorizing but, what it might do is go Kaboom. LOL. Just kidding.

Sorry, no help. But post up when you do it!

Kaboom? NO!!!!!!

I'm guessing I don't have enough hp to run 200 unless it's 1.5 miles and I'm not driving 20 hours one way to run 195.

On to the next bucket list item...breaking into the 9's in the qtr

With 687WHP your gonna be real close to a 9.99 in the quarter! Its gonna take a real good air day but its possible! Now if you car weighs less than stock it should do it no problem!

I did 168 in the 1/2 and was really looking forward to the finish line. Thats a ton of stress on the setup being WOT under load for that long of time. 1 mile and 1.5 mile has got to be nuts.

I'm damn near dying to get onto Chang Circuit which is close to my house where there is a 1000 meter straight that is preceded by a turn that I should be exiting at 60 or 70mph. This is going to be a monster 10 seconds. This will be like a 1/2 mile roll on from 65mph. Then we'll have the brake test for the large hairpin then another straight that is only slightly shorter. I will be testing the boiling point of the 5.1 brake fluid, LOL There'll be some stress, but I love the speed.

I never thought twice about doing the mile or 1.5 as to being hard on the car.

One thing I have discovered with this fatty is that as good as the brakes are...it don't stop like the 3100lb 04 Z06 with a big brake kit on it. It's faster down the straight even with the Z having 520 @ the wheels but it's a handful to whoa even with track pads. Just be aware of that.

I was turning off my data logger after a pull and those 4 seconds of coasting from 170mph really cut my brake distance in like half lol.

Ayecurumba batman. My 3rd lap at mondo in Chandler after getting the tires warmed up I stayed on it about 5-6 seconds too long and without upgraded brake fluid, that sweet A10 doing its downshifting thing and glockenspiel pads I'd of gotten acquainted with the concrete barrier. As it was I checkered the rotors pretty good.

I decided my days of wadding up a car are over and I can't deep stop corners like the vette can and to just slow my butt down sooner!

Wouldn't these cars be awesome if they were just 500lbs less!!!

By the way...do u have a younger brother named Yoda?
