Drag Slicks v. Drag Radials

I'm planning to do some racing this year with true drag slicks, and wondering how much better times will be than with drag radials?

Like I used to say

Bring Slicks, ...not excuses.

Slicks just work better for racing. Much more consistent and easier to get down the track on. My experience is that You can drive out of tire spin with a slick, you cant with a DR.

Slicks are a good option if you can get to the track and install them or trailer it with the slicks installed. Drag Radial with the right setup if you have to drive it to the track like I do my C7. They are both good options.

Drag cars run slicks for a reason. The only reason why some run a radial is because they are faster. Normally you mph less with a slick. Slicks are normally more consistent and hook the best. In 1/8 and 1/4mi racing most races are won in the first 60ft.

A better 60 ft. is my main concern. I raced a pro stock car in comp eliminator until 2011 that 60 ft. in the .985 to 1.10 range, which was our primary focus.

Has anyone seen what tire/specs works well on these cars? I would naturally start with Goodyear.
