OEM Camber Adjustment for Track Use

Curious . . . with the OEM camber adjustment basically a bolt and slotted struts, are you guys seeing it move at all on track, particularly when popping curbs?

I'm about ready to put on the Vorshlag camber plates. Logic says to max them out and then adjust the OEM below to get me at the -3.2ish I'm looking for.

Depends on the track. For COTA its about -3.0. I went just a a little higher and wore out the inside of the tires too fast. I am now at -2.8 and wearing the outsides too fast.

Also the bolts (on the strut) need to be really torqued till they stop with a breaker bar or they loosen up, at least on the ZL1 1LE.

Toe at zero helps with wear but the SLP rear toe links seem to be making the most difference. I have seen references to "dynamic toe steer" in threads and I think this is flex in the rear, not the front, with the toe links. This affects the front tire wear.

Front strut to knuckle bolt tightening spec is 111lb/ft +80-95*. While curb shapes vary by track, I never had any alignment walk running them at Pitt Race. Only time I had a rear alignment walk was going wide at onto Pitt Race's very rough exit curbing.

I always maxed the camber plate out then fine tuned at the knuckle. Search here on the forums, there's tons of info on tightening specs, alignment procedures, etc. The search function sucks here on the forums, just go to Google and type in what you're looking for and camaro6.com.

I did the front strut mod and SPL rear toe links on my SS1LE. I run -2.6F and -1.7R. Zero toe front and tiny toe in at the rear. I'm fairly aggressive with curbing and my alignment hasn't moved in 2 years.
