XM is not working

I have a current subscription to XM and noticed last week that when selecting any channel I get "No XM Signal", "Reception may be blocked" on the display. This message only goes away after I've driven for awhile. But, after turning the car off, the message returns. I've tried having the signal refreshed with no luck. There are no dropouts in the area. I travel the same route to and from work everyday and had no issues up until now. The XM in my other car is working fine.

I don't think it's an antenna issue because OnStar still works and I'm able to start the car with the app. As far as I know, all those signals are received through the shark fin.

I'm thinking the XM module in the radio itself is defective.

I took the car into the dealer and turns out the shark fin is bad. Never heard of such a thing before but the service advisor told me that they see that happening periodically.

So, its on order and will need to be painted before install.
