eLSD Upgrade on SS

I did a search for this but could not find it. It would be nice to see it offered for the ZL1

I would think this not really possible (ie expensive) as it has to be integrated into the electronics/traction control etc.

Can it be done, sure.... $$$$ Cheaper to sell the SS and buy an 1LE...

EDIT: I think the ZL1 has it standard

Hmm ZL1 flash never heard it called that before. Was just an improvement that the GM team produced I thought it applied to both zl1 and SS 1le

I read some of the same info here. There’s a few pieces of information about costs and such. I was hoping to see some info on the drag pack they said was coming to the ZL1. But nooooooo....https://www.lsxmag.com/news/make-you...d-calibration/

I have the ELSD and wish I did not. I would gladly trade back the complexity and off warranty repair cost to get 40 pounds back. Unless you are bouncing off curbing at high speeds where is the benefit?

But OP if that is your thing just get the 1LE. There are lots of them sitting on lots getting dusty. The standard SS is really a great comfort/handling compromise. The 1LE is your best track buddy at a (sort of) reasonable price.

Correct. This is to bring the SS 1LE to the ZL1 spec. My statement did not sound right about the ZL1. But I meant I wish they would have another upgrade for the ZL1 to make it even better then what I have in my ZL1.

I just thought it was a great cheap upgrade to have the ZL1 eLSD spec in the SS.

Cheers

In the link I provided it has the cost.

GMAUTHORITY.COM

"According to our source, the flash’s cost varies by the dealership, but some will do it for as little as $300. The flash does not void the warranty, either. And any dealer can perform the flash now."

Not quite. This is a tune that has been specifically calibrated on the GM 1LE on DSSVs and 305 Bridgestones for autocross use. It's not the off-the-shelf ZL1 spec.

It is a good upgrade, and will make the car faster with all nannies off.

How expensive would be to get the eLSD on a base Camaro SS? Like the one on the SS1LE and ZL1 has
