Rear suspension nuts and bolts

Info only :

Adjusting the rear camber and toe on a 1LE requires 4 new TTY bolts, and 4 new TTY nuts.... can’t reuse them..

About $100 with tax at my dealer... yikes 😳

If you plan on switching from track to street alignment more than twice in the vehicles lifetime, these might be a good idea:

Camber is in the LCA so it will be much harder to remove that and replace it. I wish there was something out there. I should have peeked at the GT4 R camaros at daytona when I was there to see what they used.

Guys,
Ok, I sprung for the high-dollar TTY bolts for the rear suspension.... I actually looked at the packaging..yep, Made in China 🇨🇳 hope it wasn’t Wuhan !

So, GM can’t even produce their own bolts ? Maybe it’s not that big of a surprise that the car wont hold alignment with track use...

To clarify, these high price 1 time use bolts you are referring to are still stock OEM parts, same as the ones you replaced, correct?

Yes, they are the stock oem parts from my dealer..
these are the 1-time TTY bolts and nuts to change rear toe and camber on the ZL1 1LE... you have to order the nuts separately...

$100???

You can get replacement bolts for a lot cheaper than that.

Just bought the TTY bolts for $50 online including shipping etc. You don't need new nuts.

I dont want to sound like a dick, but I’m pretty sure you need the special nuts also. They are TTY as well...I paid 30 to my dealer, but that included sales tax.
I’m not a mechanical engineer, so I’m not sure how really necessary they are.
Regards,
Bill

The service manual says to replace the bolts, not the nuts. The bolts are what is TTY, not the nuts. Doesn't hurt to replace the nut and washer.

Here's a good page on the topic
