Z28 wheels on a 17 ZL1 for track

Curious if anyone has looked into using the 2014 z28 wheels as a square setup on our car and if it will work ( offset , brake clearance , ect )

Thanks, Larry

It fits but not if you run aggressive camber. If you use aggressive camber, you will need an additional spacer up front. FYI the z28 wheels are NOT square.

Why the spacers? To clear the magnetic shocks being bigger than the multimatic shocks? What I meant on the square setup is that they run 305/30/19 tires all around for a square tire setup. I think the rear wheels are 1/2 in wider than fronts but all 4 rims run the same size tire.
Do you know what size spacer and is there a negative handling wise using the spacer
Thanks for the help

I was wondering the same to...

Will the rims fit or do we need to shave the strut bracket a little by the 2 mounting bolts or run a spacer?

Will 325 30 19 tires fit the regular Zl1 out back? I saw a guy do the 315 30 20s with spacers..

will 305s fit up front on the oem Z28 rims?

Search for my threads/posts on the ZL1 1le wheels as the fronts are the same size. It needed a 5mm spacer to fit when running -2.6 camber.

Will z28 wheels fit ZL1-1LE not worried about camber????? I know it's the same shock setup as z28.

The z28 wheels are just so much better looking than the 1LE wheels.

I have 305 and 325 19's on my 1LE. -2.3 camber up front and its CLOSE. Like really close with my +15 offset. I am going to shave the strut for piece of mind.

Yes, they fit and fit well.

Exact same 19x11 +11 front
Rear is
19×11.5 +32.25 on the Z/28.
19x12 +41 on the ZL1 1LE.

The Z/28 wheel is 6.35mm inside the ZL1 1LE wheel (1/2 inch / 2 = .25" = 6.35mm) - however - the reduced backspace of 8.75mm more than compensates for this and as a result, the outside of the Z/28 wheel "pokes" out by only 2.40mm. Virtually meaningless. The inside edge is further out from the suspension by 6.35mm + 8.75mm for a total of 15.1mm or .5944 inches.

I'm going to wrap mine in 315 front and 325 rear 30/19 Hoosier R7's for my first ZL1 1LE track event at RoadAmerica.

Will post pics when I get them on next week!

He has a ZL1 1LE which has different struts that are designed for more clearance, you don't have these as you have a regular ZL1, right?
