check engine light

just noticed it was on today but it might have been on longer.car is a2015 V6 automatic, and has been running fine,no stalls, etc. and has 49,000 miles on it.not sure if the gas cap was tightened until it clicked last time i filled up.how many start cycles will it take for the light to go out,or should i be worried about something more sinister? dont tell me to use search function,i tried and that page isnt working.

I won't tell you to use the search function but I will tell you to get a code reader and come back when you know the engine trouble code.

Your code reader has a reset all codes function. Reset codes and if it shows again than I'd be concerned about it.
