NPP valves
Has anyone attempted to install the NPP on an aftermarket exhaust system? Curious to know whether it really makes any difference and where the valves were located.
I have an AWE system, and I reckon the valve could be quite easily cut it. But is it worth the effort? |

Depends on what the exhaust system setup is. It only is quieter on the OE system because it restricts flow on the outer tips which are nearly a passthrough and forces all exhaust flow through the body of the muffler. If the aftermarket system is cutting off a passthrough pipe and forcing the exhaust through a muffler it'll make a difference, but if it's just dual tips coming from one exhaust outlet (like the AWE system) it won't do anything significant.

Not worth the effort. Just buy an aftermarket system that has the provisions to mount the valves and drive on. You could probably sell the system on the ZLE to help pay for a new system. Good luck.
