much louder whistle sound after installing lt2

Hi guys,

I just installed a ported LT2 on my car last night. When I first changed out my copo hood, I noticed the intake air suction whistle was louder, and now it is even much louder and kind of sounds like a supercharger whistle now.... my exhaust is much deeper now..just not sure if that's right...... I was trying to record it but it barely pick up the sound

The LT2, especially with an aftermarket intake and larger TB, will produce more of an intake noise. The copo hood probably just lets a little more noise out so whatever sounds are in there are a little more noticeable. Its possible if your engine is breathing better your exhaust may get a little deeper or louder as well.

It shouldn’t whistle unless you ported out the o-ring on the inlet

It was already whistle a bit with just a CAI, but after adding the ported LT2 IM, it is just louder

I have the stock tb and Rotofab CAI, yeah you are right, i put the stock hood back on, it is a bit quieter now. I am not sure if it is louder but the 2k rpm drone is much better somehow lol
