Hood Latch

Am I the only one who has an issue with the hood latch on the Camaro? I know how to release it from inside the car, but I can't seem to reach the latch to open the hood. I guess my fingers don't go in far enough though I have normal size fingers. I lift up on the hood as far as it will go, but no luck. I know the latch goes to the right, but I can't seem to reach it. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks for your input.

Are you reaching in with your palm facing up or down?

Yup palm down move lever to the right, lift

Simple but the lever is not where you think

Exactly... took me like 5 min to figure it out the first time, I think i've got it down pat now though lol if I remember correctly the lever needs to be pushed up and to the right, it's towards the middle of the front of the hood.. you should be able to reach in palm up and lift it up and to the right to disengage it.

I was struggling to open it the first time as well.. becuase well I didnt know where the latch was.. but now it aint hard.. once you know it..

No issue with it, but the sales guy showed me how it works.

It turned out to be real simple. Now I have no problem opening the hood. I kind of feel dumb since I've owned a 100 different cars in my lifetime, but had trouble opening the hood on my new Camaro. The Camaro6 Forum saved me from further embarrassment. Thanks.

Nothing dumb here, trust me we all do dumb things...I didn't realize that you can turn off the My Link screen, I always hit the on/off button quickly once, it would mute it. The other day I decided to hold it down for a couple of seconds, shuts off! The simple things we over look...lol.

Lol yeah. Hell, just yesterday I noticed we have LED lights on the visors mirror for both driver and passenger... Never used the visor till yesterday and I've had possession for 4 months +

Yeah those are pretty cool, how they come on dim and get brighter.
