Arrow Need input on mild build!

Hello everyone, I have a 18 M6 ZL1. Im looking to get some modifications added now that winter is over. I need input on what else you think is necessary to order to go along with the mild build. Im not looking for crazy numbers/power.

I currently have a Roto Fab intake and Borla Atak cat back.

Next on my list is long tube headers, lower pulley (15%), bigger throttle body (Zr1) with adapter, and tune.

My goal is to get this stuff installed and then dropped off for tune.

Again, please share advice with anything else that is necessary or required with the next list of mods if im missing anything. Also, I do not track the car. Maybe 1 or 2 trips to the 1/4 mile track.

I will keep everyone posted with updates till the end!

Thank you!

Sounds very much like my build. My best advice is choose your tuner carefully. Make sure they have real word experience with the LT4 (way different than the LS series most tuners cut their teeth on), that they do a comprehensive street and dyno tune, that you understand their policy if you need a retune either because of the occasional hiccup or because of future mods. Finally, make sure they pay attention to the details, does this level of mods require a cooler spark plug, a cooler thermostat, a better belt, etc?
That level of modding should only make the driving experience more fun. Mike at Vengeance did my tune. No hesitations, no funky idle issues, smooth power delivery from at all rpms, no check engine lights.

Couldn’t agree more with finding the right tuner. My car is going next week to Matt Sorian to re tune what someone else I had tried. Car runs fine and pulls hard but there’s a lot left on the table.

Also, is it worth doing a pulley upgrade if I'm only running 93 octane?

Anyone have thoughts of cooling recommendations? I understand our cars start pulling timing if they get too hot. I’d like to do something similar to the OP, but would like to keep IATs healthy.

Any good professional tuner must be able to help you with that. If they can’t, move on. Better to get specific advice on this from the tuner/shop doing your build than general advice on the internet.

Yes, depends on size of pulley, upper/lower etc. But generally yes.
