Zl1 hood lining/ heat insulation

Hey guys, I went to look at a zl1 today, not really in the market for one but was interesting in a spec I saw while driving and decided to have a look just in case ha. I took a look and everything looked good, but I noticed that it didn't have the hood insulation piece that the SS does, you know the black piece that goes on the bottom of the hood. Is that hoe they all are? I looked it up and can't find any pictures of zl1's with their hood open, so I'm consulting the group of experts. If they are supposed to have one, how easy is it to get if I decided to buy the car? It was my dream spec with low mileage and in the area so you cant really beat that. Where could I get one just in case? Part number?

As far as I know, the ZL1 does not have the felt hood liner that the SS does, for better heat dissipation and because of the design of its center hood extractor.

Ok, thats kinda what I figured. It would be odd if they tried to put something under it. Would like to get a current zl1/zle owner to comment on this, but if nobody does im gonna stick with that they dont come with it.

ZL1-1LE does not have a hood insulator installed. Confirmed in my garage. Lol!

ZL1's have a heat extractor. No need for insulation.
