Maybe a dumb question but I have owned my 2017 RS for over a year and can not get voice commands to work on my 7 inch radio, dealer replaced radio because it was not working with iPhones and other glitches. New radio works great with Android Auto voice commands and working good with iPhones.

If I have no phone plugged in and want to use voice commands to switch a radio station or play music from my USB flash drive I get nothing, I tried long and short pressing the voice button on my steering wheel and it does nothing, no prompt no sound just nothing, however with my Galaxy S6 plugged in all voice commands work great like text so-and-so or navigate to certain place. Any help would be much appreciated.

Here is a video showing how it works on the 8 inch and just wanted to confirm that the 7 inch does not support any voice commands without AA, can someone with the 7 inch please do a quick test. Thank you and much appreciated.

I have the 8in so I can't really help you but I wanna thank you for this info as I didn't that keeping the voice command button pressed for few seconds enables the Ok google function.
